Swannjie and Swannjiejie at Ars Electronica, Linz, Second City. 2007; Aram Bartoll's photos; machinima

Swannjie and Swannjiejie visits Linz, Ars Electronica 2007, Secondlife exported into Real Life.  Streets are re-designed with details into Second City.

Second city : the angle is placed just right, as if the real life person is talking to an avatar!

January - an avatar with proper Identification tag

How to make real life objects from Secondlife geometric "prim" shapes.
People had a connection with each other walking around with the ID tag on the head.  Its might seem a bit silly at first - but it worked esthetically, conceptually and was quite a fine piece of participatory / self initiated performance art work.

Ikune Rousse : software writer for Digital Guqin instrument HunDun in Secondlife, in real life he works for IBM in Japan.

Ken Cioc : Manager of a Japanese bar in the Virtual World who attends to visitors (avatars) warmly in a very mature way.  Ken played his part very well, and in real life was contracted to build the Virtual World TV Tokyo sim to shoot a real life TV show, also located in Japan.  He took pity on me, and took time to "teleport"
me, and showed me where to buy a koto.

I bought 2 kotos, took them apart to build a working Guqin.

This is also a kind of machinima - animation shot in real time using live synthetic images
